This open-air market, held every Wednesday in Siena, features a series of booths and stalls throughout the city. Here, we found our vegetables from a farm just about twenty minutes away from where we live. Additionally, the pasta and bread they purchased were made fresh that morning at the bakery. All of these things made our food deeply intertwined with the local environment!
