Jewel Lizards

What can harm this creature or plant? Are we worried about it?:

Jewel lizards may live in many different habitats, but they are still vulnerable in some areas, especially urban environments, where they are easy prey for cats. Climbing a tree or a fence cannot always protect a lizard from a hungry cat, so living near humans (and our pets) is very dangerous for jewel lizards!

Like nearly all wild animals, jewel lizards are also in danger of losing their natural habitat as humans build more cities and towns and destroy the forests where these creatures live. National parks like the one I visited are wonderful, safe places for jewel lizards to live in an environment (mostly) undisturbed by humans.
