Hi, my name is Adrian and I have been lucky enough to work at Ocean Infinity since the very start in 2017. I was even involved much earlier than this by travelling the world and sailing the seas, exploring and trying and testing equipment that has never been used on various jobs. This all led to the start of Ocean Infinity and what you see today. I became a full-time Vessels Manager in 2019, overseeing the operations of three chartered vessels to conduct the important work we do today. We are now building our own ships, which are designed to be uncrewed. This is extremely exciting and has never been done before!
I traveled an interesting path to get to my current job. I had no experience of running vessels or of subsea mapping and robotics, but the mountains and oceans have always fascinated me and been a big part of my life. I grew up in the Highlands of Scotland, near a ski resort called Cairngorm. This is where my love for exploring mountains came from. Believe it or not, I have been skiing since I was two years old! I became quite a serious ski racer from this, and when I left school, I traveled around America to pursue ski racing. I was based at Mammoth Mountain in California, which is in the Sierra Nevada Mountains on part of a huge volcano.
