In Spain, it's really common for strangers to talk to one another, especially older people. One day I walked in to a coffeeshop to get my Café Bombon (a coffee with condensed milk) and a sweet elderly couple asked me a ton of questions because I was clearly a tourist, and they told me their life stories! Once I started hanging out with the locals in Madrid, I learned even more about Spain and the culture.
