London is a huge and historic city. It has many parks, churches, restaurants and museums. Because of this, it attracts many visitors. London has many very old buildings, but at the same time, London also has some of the most modern buildings in the world. This mix of old and new makes the city unique. When both old and modern buildings appear in front of you at the same time, you will feel that the speed of development of this city is very impressive. It also has very convenient transportation. People can travel around the city by public transport all the time.
I found that there are many differences between the United Kingdom and the United States. For example, their buildings are very different. Many buildings in London are relatively old. A typical home is not a whole building with front and back yards like typical homes in the United States. In the U.K, despite the limited space, they must create enough housing for people. Therefore, most of the homes in London are apartment style, and many of these buildings have balconies, which is not so common in the United States. There are, however, some houses which have very small back yards. Since there is limited space in London, they don't have many parking spaces for cars in the city.
