Chao for Now Bogotá: Hasta Dos Meses!

While I certainly tip my hat to Bogotá for their Christmas decorations, it is clear that there aren't too many other religious holidays celebrated. Where are the Menorahs? the Kwanzah decorations? The reason is Colombia, in fact most of South America, is Catholic, so most people celebrate Christmas.

I have certainly learned a lot in my first four months in Colombia. From the kindness that my roomates have shown me in my apartment, to the perseverance of my students at UNAL, to the remarkable places and landscapes of this incredible country that I've had the opportunity to explore, I'm feeling very lucky for how everything has gone. That said, I'm very excited to explore the Caribbean coast of Colombia during the month of December, as well as Peru in the month of January. I'm sure I'll have more to report in no time!

Until then, Feliz Navidad, or merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Joyous Kwanzah, and Happy Holidays P.S. 1!

Un abrazo a todos, A hug for everyone,

Mr. Roth
