This is how I ended up in Chile doing a Fulbright research grant! I will be living in the city of Santiago, which is the capital of Chile, in a cute little apartment right by my office at a local University, where I will be doing most of my research.
Since I am a data scientist, I primarily use my computer to do my work. I download, process, and analyze large amounts of data (little pieces of information) by writing code. During my day to day, I will be using satellite imagery data to look at the forest fires' behavior, how they spread over time, and learn what factors influence them.
I am so excited for this adventure, and feel honored to be able to share my journey with you!
