Thankfully, we have entered the beginning of rainy season, meaning it has begun to cool down outside. Before this week, the average daily temperatures were in the 90s! I am now less reliant on my fan and cold shower and have turned to my umbrella and rainboots to help me brave the weather. Sometimes it rains in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, and sometimes both. Therefore, I carry my rain gear with me everywhere I go so I will always be prepared.
Living in the Amazon, I see animals every week! This week, I volunteered at the Centro de Rescate Amazonico (CREA), a wildlife rescue center. At CREA, I help take care of the monkeys, sloths, anteaters, and manatees. However, living in the Amazon also means I see many types of bugs (ants, spiders, cockroaches, etc…) everyday.
