Hej (Hello)! My name is Abigale Maroun, but please feel free to just call me Abby. I am 21 years old and I am from Amherst, New Hampshire. I am a junior at Villanova University, which is just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am a Philosophy major with minors in Psychology and English, and I have found so much joy in all of my classes.
I am so lucky to share that, this spring, I am studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark! Copenhagen is Denmark’s capital and its biggest city, with more than 600,000 people living here. That is a lot of people! Having grown up in a small town and going to college in a small town, city life is certainly new for me. In Copenhagen, I am taking philosophy, psychology and Danish classes; I am also doing research for the first time. Outside of school, I have a lot of interests and hobbies. I love to sing, dance, and do musical theater. I also love to spend time outside. Back at home, I have two dogs named Coco and Gator and two cats named Duck and Pickles! Needless to say, our house is always crazy, but that is what I love the most about it.
But now, Copenhagen is my new home! I am so happy to share my study abroad journey with all of you. There are so many places to see, people to meet, and things to do. I cannot wait to tell you all about it!
