Traveler Bio

Hello! My name is Adelaide Randall, but you can call me "Adie!" I’m spending ten months in Gabrovo, Bulgaria, and I’m so excited to meet you! I grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona, which is full of deserts, cactus plants, and even cowboys.

Growing up, I loved doing all sorts of things. But my favorite thing of all was reading and writing. I loved stories about adventures and learning what it’s like to live in places far away. That’s why, when I went to college, I studied Psychology, Nonprofit Management, and International Studies to learn more about how people from different countries can work together like one big team!

At Arizona State University, I joined tons of fun activities, like dance shows, volleyball, and even clubs like Astronomy, Hip Hop, and the Rubik’s Cube Club! I was lucky enough to find opportunities to travel and explore the world during college, through applying for scholarships that took me to Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. Now, in Bulgaria, I’m a teacher at a school! I work with students and help them dream big about their future, and with the community to help make sure people feel hopeful about the future of the world.

Thank you so much for welcoming me into your class! I’m excited to share this adventure with you. Приятно ми е да се запознаем (“Nice to meet you” in Bulgarian)!
