Even though I have been living in India for almost a month, I have only gotten a taste of what life is like here. Also, I have only been able to experience life as a student. I decided to interview my homestay mom about an average day in her life to learn about what people in Ahmedabad do who are not students.
My full name is Mita Panchal. It is propronounced like "mee-ta pan-ch-ahl."
I live in an appartment complex that is part of the Govind Plaza, Dena Bank Society. The word society is used differently here than in the United States. A society is what people in the United States would call their block or their community. However, it is defined by where you live, but less about who you know.
My immediate family is small. I live with my husband Mrugesh, and my two daughters Kirati and Anjanee. Kirati is married and moving to Canada soon with her husband Anjanee is 16 years old and in her last year of high school.
