Traveler Bio

Hi friends! I’m Aidelis, and I’m so excited to share my journey with you. I am in my 3rd year at Elizabethtown College, studying psychology and Spanish. Etown College is a small private college in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, with a lovely campus and excellent professors. I chose to study psychology because I love learning about the human mind and how it works and develops over time. I decided to major in Spanish because, as my first language, it is very important for me to continue learning as much as I can about the Spanish language and culture. I was born and raised in San Pedro de Macorís, in the Dominican Republic. My family moved to Pennsylvania when I was 8, and that’s where I’ve lived ever since. Moving to a different country at such a young age was very difficult, mainly because I didn't know how to speak English.

Thankfully, I could adapt to my new life and gained an appreciation for experiencing new places and cultures.  I love exploring new places, meeting new people, and learning about new cultures, and I am very excited about all the new adventures I will be having while abroad. I am thrilled to study abroad in Stirling, Scotland, this fall semester.
