The Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters are the victors of the Japanese World Series last week. In this picture, is there anyone at the center of the image or any player that has been enlarged? The individual in the middle of this group is the coach, however, and he has not been enlarged. The U.S. poster is an example of individualism (individuals being valued as unique and different) and the Japanese poster is an example of collectivism (the group being more valued than any one individual).
I believe that Japan and many other collectivistic cultures hold the key to teamwork, and now more than ever teamwork between cultures, especially in the United States and other countries is very important.
