This week I made my first trip to Central Europe. The flight was about ninety minutes from Belgium, however, the airport does not have a metro attached to it. This meant I had to travel through Brussels to catch a bus and enter the airport. It took me more time traveling to the airport than flying!
I spent the weekend in Prague, which has extensive millennia of religious history and is connected to Eastern Europe, a region I have never been to. The city is a popular tourist attraction because it has a cheaper currency than Western Europe and has ample buses, trams and the metro to transport everyone.
This week I took two flights. It is very important to arrive at the airports hours before your flights because each airport has different standards. When departing from Prague the gate closed about half an hour before the flight because they had to take all the passengers by bus to the plane on the runway. In my daily life in Leuven, I always cycle as my normal commute.
