Traveler Bio

Hola todos! My name is Alia, and I am so excited to be your Reach the World traveler. I grew up in North Carolina, where I always loved going outside to explore, climb trees, and look for little animals.

I am a senior at Pitzer College, which is located in Claremont, California. I am studying Human Biology and Anthropology, and in my free time, I enjoy drawing, playing video games, and reading. I wanted to explore the different landscapes and cultures in addition to improving my Spanish, so I decided to study abroad in Ecuador through the Gilman Scholarship. I'm excited to share my adventures and get to know everyone!

Right now, I am studying abroad in Ecuador, a country in South America. Ecuador is an amazing place with tall mountains called the Andes, the Amazon rainforest, and the Galápagos Islands, where I can continue to be outside and explore. I also came because I love trying new food, especially fruit and I wanted to improve my Spanish. I hope as I travel, I can share my adventures with you!
