Bonjour! Hello! My name is Alisa Hill and I am studying in Grenoble, a small city in southeastern France. A very special fact about Grenoble is that the city is surrounded by mountains, including some of the tallest on the continent of Europe. I am learning French at the Université Grenoble Alpes which is a college in Grenoble named after the mountain range called the Alps.
To understand a little bit more about me, I am 21 years old and I am from Cleveland, Ohio, home to Lake Erie, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball team. When I am not in France, I study math and finance at Ohio University. In my free time, I love to travel to new places, cook new recipes and read a good book. I’m very excited to try all the new French foods, especially the pastries like macarons (a sweet cookie sandwich) and a madeleine (a small sponge cake). I am looking forward to taking you with me as I learn more about the French language and culture!
