Traveler Bio

Ahoj! My name is Allison. I am a teacher and a world traveler, and I can’t wait to share my adventures with you! I am 22 years old and I am originally from Macungie, Pennsylvania, but right now I am living in Kaplice, Czech Republic. Kaplice is a small town in the South Bohemian region, only 10 miles from the border with Austria. I am here as a part of the Fulbright Program to teach English to high school students.

I decided to travel here to learn more about different people and cultures, and become the best teacher I can be! I have always loved to meet new people, and I dream of traveling all over the world to experience as many different foods, types of music, schools, and languages as I can. I love to connect and build community wherever I go, and experiencing small-town life in a new country is opening up a whole new community for me, which has been such a life-changing experience. I can't wait to share what I learn with all of you!

I recently graduated from Villanova University, where I studied Biology, Education, and Disability Studies. There I discovered my passion for education, and I can't wait to grow that passion here and learn more about global education systems. I love to spend time outdoors, cook, try new foods, and experience all that the world has to offer. I am so happy that you are joining me on this journey! By following along, you will be able to experience this amazing culture through my eyes and hopefully feel inspired to learn more and travel the world yourself!
