¡Hola a todos! Hello, everyone! My name is Allyson Emmett and I am from Fort Wayne, Indiana. I normally go to school at Saint Mary´s College in Notre Dame, IN, where I study anthropology and Spanish. I received the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, which has made it possible for me to live in Seville, Spain to improve my Spanish skills this semester. It has been a big change because my college is only two hours from my house and now I am about 4,000 miles away from home and all of my classes are in Spanish!
My favorite things to do are play board games, read books, and watch Spanish TV shows! This is my first time being outside of the United States, so I also want to travel to a lot of places and see what people around the world are like. Along the way, I hope to try a lot of different desserts, especially different kinds of ice cream! When I was younger, I wanted to live in Indiana my whole life. I changed my mind because I learned that there are interesting people everywhere and I want to meet more of them! I am so excited to meet you and I hope you will enjoy seeing new places and meeting new people with me!
