Traveler Bio

Hello students,

My name is Alysha. I am studying Sociology, the study of society and how it works. I will be studying in Manchester, England.

I’m sure you have all heard “no running in the halls” or “raise your hand to speak.” Have you ever wondered why there are so many rules at school? I like sociology because it helps me understand interesting questions like this about our society.

I have other interests too. I play volleyball, I love music, and I dance. In volleyball, I play the position called Libero. My favorite rapper is J. Cole. Do any of you know him? My favorite dance genre is hip-hop because it makes me feel so cool! I have recently found another interest: studying abroad!

I wanted to study abroad because no one in my family has done it before! I want to show my younger cousins that studying abroad is something they can do. Even though I love my home, I'm excited to study abroad and share my adventures with you all! Studying and working abroad can seem really scary. But I will show you that it can be fun (and safe) too. I hope you're ready to come on this wild adventure with me...let's go!
