I had only played volleyball in middle school at Hadley and on a recreation league at college, but they were happy to have me. I trained with the team three times a week and competed with them at the Belize National Club Championship. It was so fun to get to know the girls and compete again. Now, when I walk around town, the girls say hi to me and we catch up on how they are doing.
It's important to be genuine with people in your community and build strong relationships. I'm so happy with the community I have here in Belize!
