When I was in Dangriga I heard a lot of Garifuna drums. It is one of my favorite sounds to listen to here! They're very soothing and people have so much joy on their faces when they play the drums.
While this might not seem like the most fun activity to you, my favorite thing this week was cleaning my apartment. This meant first sweeping the floors, then mopping, deep cleaning the shower while the floors dried and doing one final sweep. Now that doesn't sound the most fun, right? But as I was cleaning I talked to my mom. We talked for three hours while I was cleaning, and it was so nice to catch up with her. We hadn't had a long call in a couple weeks, so it was great to talk. After I cleaned, I rearranged the furniture in my apartment, so now it feels more comfortable for me. When I clean and rearrange my space, I feel much better and ready to take on the week!
I used to read all the time, but with work, I usually don't have much time to read anymore. My friend sent me a book called The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston. I started reading it on Friday and ended up finishing it in one sitting. It was the perfect book to get me out of my reading lull.
