Servus! ("Hello" in Munich!) My name is Amya Hoskins and I am currently studying in the engineering capital of the world: Munich, Germany. Right outside the window of my dorm, the BMW factory resides. Seeing the newly built cars every day is a constant insight into the amazing world of German manufacturing.
I grew up in a small town--Senatobia, Mississippi--where I completed high school and attended junior college. Going abroad was always a dream. I wanted a way to expand my worldview. When I transferred to Mississippi State University as a junior, I had the chance to study abroad. I truly enjoy connecting with people from various backgrounds. These interactions have taught me so much about the world and deepened my understanding of those different from me.
Being in Munich has been wonderful for learning about new cultures and growing my language skills, especially practicing my German. It is amazing to see my knowledge grow, allowing me to communicate across language barriers. I am excited for you to join me on my exchange journey here in Germany!
