Khotso (Peace)! Welcome. I hope you are excited to learn about this little kingdom called Lesotho, a country I have called my home for the last year. My name is Angela and I am from a small town in Wisconsin. Since graduating from college a few years ago, I have lived in many exciting places, including Turkiye, Kyrgyzstan, and currently Lesotho, where I live and work as a Peace Corps volunteer in the second-largest primary school in the country. I have always known I would join the Peace Corps, and I feel fortunate to fulfill this goal with such an incredible cohort of other volunteers. My primary focus is teaching children in grades 1 to 7 computer literacy skills in our computer lab. We only have nine desktop computers for almost 1,000 students, but we make it work with an alternating schedule and two or three students sitting together at each computer. Youth here live a very different lifestyle than we may be used to at home in the United States. I am eager to share with you more about what it is like to be a child in Lesotho and what my day-to-day living looks like. Come along for the journey!
