Traveler Bio

Hello! My name is Angelica Monrreal and I'm a 21-year-old first-generation student born in Austin, Texas, and the first in my family to attend college out of state. Growing up, I didn't travel much, which sparked my curiosity about the world beyond my home state. My parents, born in Mexico, didn't have the opportunities to travel either, so I made it a personal goal to explore as much as I could once I started college.

For me, travel is about gaining new perspectives, meeting diverse people, and embracing the unknown. I love wandering through new places, chatting with locals, and getting their recommendations. I'd also say I enjoy a mix of solo and group travel, finding the balance between both.

So far, I've explored various parts of the U.S., from California's sunny beaches to New York's skyline, and internationally, from the warm islands in the Philippines to the iconic Mount Fuji in Japan. When I travel, I blend backpacking with a touch of luxury, moving efficiently with minimal luggage while staying long enough to absorb each place's culture and pace. Through these experiences, I've learned that the people you meet and the memories you create are just as meaningful as the sights you see.

The next stop for me is Switzerland! I'll spend four months exploring the scenic nature trails of Switzerland and the beauty of Europe!
