Sawaatdi kha (Hello) from Thailand!
My name is Angie and I live and teach English in Thailand! I am 22 years old and from the small, one stoplight town of Harwinton, Connecticut. In my free time I like to spend time with my family and friends, journal, run and sing! In May of 2017 I graduated from Bates College, where I studied Psychology, Education and Geology. While at Bates I studied abroad 3 times and learned that I loved to travel, meet new people and learn about new cultures! After graduating I applied to Fulbright, to live in Thailand for one year and do exactly that.
I now work as an English Teaching Assistant at an elementary school in Si Satchanalai, Thailand. For the last five months I've been teaching English to kids just like you, from first to sixth grade. Although living in Thailand is very different than living in the United States, Si Satchanalai often reminds me of home! It is a beautiful small town on a lazy river, in the rolling hills of Northern Thailand where everyone knows everyone.
Over the last five months, I've tried to learn a bit of Thai (which I'm so thankful for because not many people in my town speak English) and I've learned that Thailand really is, "the Land of Smiles"! I'm very exctied to share this experience with you and I can't wait to hear all of your input and questions!
