Traveler Bio

Hola (Hi)! My name is Anna Braverman, and I grew up in Scarsdale, New York, which is a nature-filled suburb located about 30 minutes by train from The Big Apple. When I was 11, my family and I moved to London, England, where I attended an all-girls British school for two years (tea and biscuits anyone)? Following my passion for global experiences, I attended Colby College, a small liberal arts school in Waterville, Maine. In order to learn more about diverse cultures, I studied world history and classical civilizations.

During college, I spent a month in Uganda, where I studied African development in a post-conflict society. I also had the fortune to study and conduct research for eight months in Córdoba, Spain. There, I took classes at the University of Córdoba, and completed an archaeological excavation at a 9th-century Islamic palatial complex. Trust me, digging in the dirt can be really fun! Besides doing archaeological digs, I also love playing sports (especially soccer), reading fiction, going to museums, hiking, meeting new people and exploring exciting places!

In Puebla, México, I get to do all of these things as an English teacher for college students studying to become preschool teachers. Let's build bridges together and get to know this beautiful country and its friendly and resilient people! Vámonos (Let's go)!
