Walking through the Streets of Ekaterinburg (and Kazan)

See some of the sights of Ekaterinburg, where I am currently living, and Kazan, the city where I previously studied Russian! I hope you enjoy learning a little about the history of these cities!

This is the House of All Religions in Kazan. They have towers dedicated to Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and Judaism, among other religions. Kazan is a very tolerant city due to its diversity!

This mosque is located in the Kazan Kremlin, the original fortress city. However, this mosque was built after the collapse of the Soviet Union to celebrate religious diversity. About half of Kazan's population is Muslim. Religion was banned in the USSR.
