Hi, everyone! I am so excited to be sharing my experience in South Korea with all of you. Before I start talking about my time in Korea, I want to introduce myself and let you know a bit more about me.
Let's start from the beginning. I moved to the U.S. from Haiti while I was in middle school. That was where my love for traveling and culture began. The moment I arrived in the U.S., it was snowing. I had never seen snow before, so of course, I tried to eat it as it fell. Later, I learned you should never eat yellow snow.
In Haiti, we speak Creole and French, so I spent my middle school years learning English and becoming more familiar with American culture. My favorite part about living in the U.S. at the time was the friends I was able to make. While I knew that I wanted to travel and see the world, at that time I did not know where to start.
When I started high school, I was able to explore other cultures through French classes. My French class was amazing and made me think about going to France. Around the same time, my friends introduced me to Korean pop music and I started listening to it more and more! Big Bang and EXO were some of the most popular brands at the time. Now my favorite bands are B.T.S.
