Saludos! (Greetings!) My name is Anthony and I am 22 years old. I am a student at the University of Florida, but right now I am studying in Madrid, a city in the middle of Spain. My hometown is in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I come from a beautiful island with many mountains and beaches. My mother is from Puerto Rico and my father is from Cuba. I am half Cuban and half Puerto Rican, with ancestors from Spain. Part of my trip will be exploring my roots and where my family comes from.
I am getting a degree in aerospace engineering. This means that I will be a rocket scientist, and I get to work on rockets and airplanes. Have you ever looked up at the sky and wondered how airplanes fly? I did that often as a kid, and now I get to work on real planes.
I am lucky to have two of my closest friends (JC and Shivam) abroad with me in Spain to experience this journey by my side. This is also my last semester in college and I will be graduating this summer with my degree. I am studying far away from home because, to me, life is better when you're exploring and what better way to study than to explore while you do it? I am very excited to go on this journey and be able to share it with you. I can’t wait to get started!
