Konichiwa (hello)! My name is Aphelia Perez, and I’m a college student at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina. I study International Relations, which means I learn how people and countries around the world connect with each other. This love of learning about the world community is a big reason why I wanted to study abroad. That way, I can experience daily life from a new point of view and build friendships.
When I get free time, I love to play video games, scrapbook, and read books. I also have 3 dogs at home that I love so much. A goal I have this year is to connect more with my heritage by learn Spanish! Do you like learning languages too?
This Fall, I will be studying all the way in Osaka, Japan, for five months. I am very excited to live in the “Kitchen of Japan,” because it has so much yummy food and friendly people. I can't wait to eat so much yummy and local food in the city. My favorite food is dumplings, and I hope to learn how to make them too. What’s your favorite food?
I’m so excited to share my awesome adventures with you and learn more about Japan together. Yoroshiku Onegashimasu, Thank you for reading, and I look forward to meeting!
