Hello! My name is Arianna Ruiz. I am 20 years old and was born in Chula Vista, California. My interests include chemistry, helping animals, reading young adult novels and running in my free time. So, I decided to make two of those things my career path and began to study at San Diego State University. I hope to earn my bachelor's in biochemistry, continue onto grad school and become a professor whose research focuses on finding medicines for animals. I am currently studying abroad in Georgia. (The country, not the state.) I applied for this program after learning they are STEM-focused. I applied for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship and was fortunate to receive the funding for me to experience this amazing country. I can't wait to tell you about my experiences while I am abroad!
