As usual, the weather was both very sunny and very rainy. Those seem to be the two extremes here! It can be hot and bright out one second and downpouring the next. I make sure to keep an umbrella by my side at all times.
This week we visited Pulau Ubin, a little island off Singapore, and we saw lots of animals! Because it is so forested, it is a perfect habitat for native wildlife. At one point, while walking to a shrine, we saw a little boar making its way along, minding its own business. It was not too big, but just big enough that we didn’t want to mess with it! We were not so lucky with the monkeys. I walked too close to one that was on a roof and he squatted down to try jumping on me! Thankfully, my friend screamed and the monkey ran away. It was both funny and terrifying.
Walking to the top of a cliff in Pulau Ubin, we were able to look out over the entire island and get some amazing pictures. The island looked so beautiful and serene, but the coolest part was being able to see the main city of Singapore in the distance.
