Her first and last names can each be read from both left to right and right to left! Both movies were lovely and quite enjoyable.
This week, I started reading Hogfather by Terry Pratchett. My brother is a huge Terry Pratchett fan, so he lent me his book during my semester abroad. This is a fantasy novel focused on discovering what happened to Hogfather (the equivalent of Santa Claus in this book's universe).
On Tuesday, I went to my Candombe class. Candombe is an Afro-Uruguayan dance. Afro-Uruguayan means that this tradition originated from enslaved African people who were brought to this country a couple of centuries ago. Now, their descendants keep this tradition alive. Candombe is played with three different drums.
After I came back from my Candombe class, I went to an art exhibition. This gallery showed pictures of rituals performed by Black communities in the south of Brazil. The goal of this exhibition was to share the connections between Black communities in Uruguay and Brazil.
