Hello, everybody!!! We're back reporting live from Sydney, Australia. In this article, I'm going to be talking about Kangaroos -- an Australian native :)
A kangaroo looks a little bit like a giant bunny with super strong legs! It has short brown or gray fur, big ears and a small head with a cute nose that twitches when it smells food.
Kangaroos have very powerful back legs that help them hop fast and far. Their feet are long and strong.
One of the coolest things about kangaroos is their long, thick tail. The tail helps them keep their balance when they hop and acts like a third leg when they stand still.
I felt excited and surprised! It's so cool seeing it hop across the field with its long tails. When I saw a tiny joey (a baby kangaroo) peek out from its mother’s pouch, my heart melted. It was so cute!
Kangaroos live in Australia. They like to live in open places where they can hop around freely. Many kangaroos live in the outback, which is the dry, grassy part of Australia. Some also live near forests or bushlands where there are lots of plants to eat.
