Hello everyone! My name is Yun Huang. I am from China originally, but I moved to the United States few years ago. I speak Mandarin and English, as well as two other dialects from China. Traveling is one of my favorite hobbies, and one of my dreams is to travel around the world.
My parents were very busy with work while I was growing up, so I learned to be independent from when I was little. Growing up in China and living in the United States has given me many opportunities to be independent and to challenge myself. However, I have gained many important life skills from my experiences, and I'm looking forward to gaining more.
Moving to the United States was the most life-changing decision I have ever made. Adapting to a different culture, a variety of life-styles, and a new language was very challenging for me; and leaving my family behind was kind of sad, but also exhilarating and rewarding. My English skills were not very good at the beginning, and I was very shy. I went to school to study English and to improve my language skills. I also found myself a free English class outside of school. Making native English speaking friends and talking to them has helped me to become a more outgoing person.
Throughout my life, whenever I have had problems, I stayed proactive, looking for solutions to save myself time.
