Moien! That means hello in Luxembourgish. My name is Ava Van Praag. Most of my students call me Ms. Van Praag. I am 21 years old from Cincinnati, Ohio. Growing up, I loved watching Bengals games (Who Dey), making things out of the clay from creeks, and going to the Cincinnati Art Museum. I am currently studying Primary Education with a minor in French at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. My love for learning languages and meeting new people has inspired me to connect with native speakers while traveling the world. Thanks to Miami's previous scholarships, I've been fortunate enough to study in Costa Rica and Luxembourg. Most recently, I was honored to be chosen as a recipient of the Gilman Scholarship, which is providing me with the opportunity to return to Luxembourg to complete my student teaching. I'm excited to learn from Luxembourg's students about their schools and culture directly from students, while hopefully having some of them learn from you. Come along with me as I learn how to teach abroad!
