Hi! I'm a college sophomore studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida. I'm currently on exchange at the University of Leeds in the UK! I play softball and piano, and enjoy crochet, video games, and going on walks through the city.
I chose to study abroad because I think it's important to expose yourself to new situations, step out of your comfort zone, and learn how the world functions outside of your own backyard.
I chose England due to being particularly interested in English culture and the presence of an exchange agreement with my home university. I'm traveling with the Global Engineering Exchange (GE3), which means that my application process is likely somewhat different than many other study-abroad students. I am also a Gilman Scholar, which is a program run by the federal government designed to promote study abroad for US students who may not have otherwise been able to participate.
I can't wait to share my journey abroad with you!
