Ciao! Hello! My name is Breanna. I am twenty-four years old, and I'm a student at the University of California, Berkeley!
I was always interested in politics and how history influences our current experiences today, and I decided as a student to study Political Science and Native American Studies. Originally from Los Angeles, California, my hobbies include hiking and surfing, visiting beaches throughout the state, cooking and learning about different kinds of foods, and visiting history and art-related museums for study. Some of my favorite past international experiences with travel include Amsterdam and Netherlands and my favorite past national experience was New York City!
As a student abroad this fall, I'll begin my travels in Siracusa, Italy, then travel to Barcelona, Spain, and finish in Florence, Italy this winter. My program focuses on the food, politics, and culture of the Mediterranean. As a professionally trained chef and former gardener, it was so interesting learning about the different kinds of foods prepared and eaten in the Mediterranean -- pasta, bread, cheese, olive oil, fish and all kinds of cured meats and delicacies!
I can't wait to share my travels with all of you and hear about your journeys throughout the school year!
