My name is Brendan Rattin. I am 22 years old and I grew up in Libertyville, Illinois. I have always loved nature and when I was younger I used to look for new animals and plants in my backyard, now I am a biologist, and a scientist who studies plants, animals, and more. I am a college student studying biology and the Chinese language. I stayed in my home state for college and was fortunate to receive a U.S. Fulbright Research Grant and a Boren Scholarship to study Chinese in Taiwan.
In my free time, I like to take pictures of plants and animals. My favorite animal I have seen in Taiwan was a sea turtle! I am super excited to be sharing my journey and all the fun things I have learned with you! I also want to hear about your journeys and adventures through the school year! We all have something to learn from one another.
