Traveler Bio

السلام عليكم (Assalaamu alaykum, or "peace be upon you" in Arabic)! My name is Brianna, and I am from North Carolina. I graduated in 2025 from the University of North Carolina, where I studied English, neuroscience, and human rights. I didn't travel much growing up, but I have been lucky to receive grants and scholarships to travel abroad, and I have now visited ten countries! This year, I am working as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at a university in Manama, Bahrain. Bahrain is a tiny country in the Middle East (almost 200 times smaller than North Carolina!). Although the country is small, it is full of beaches, malls, and restaurants. While I am here, I will teach English at a medical school. I will also be eating a lot of new foods, exploring the country, and learning about local traditions. I am excited to tell you more about my adventures here, and I am happy to meet you!
