One of the things that drew my attention was the Native Alaskan culture that persists even though they have faced century-long challenges that have reduced their population. I saw that Alaska now appreciates its native culture because of the small businesses with handcrafted materials made by Alaskan natives.
Desde niño escuché que mi papá decía: "Me gustaría ir a Alaska para explorar el paisaje y apreciar las vistas de las montañas nevadas". Aunque se había retrasado mucho, nuestra emoción seguía ahí y finalmente pudimos explorar el hermoso estado de Alaska. Una de las cosas que me llamó la atención fue la cultura nativa de Alaska que persiste, a pesar de que han enfrentado desafíos constantes que redujeron su población. Vi cuán culturalmente consciente es Alaska debido a las pequeñas empresas con materiales hechos a mano por nativos de Alaska.
In Alaska, my father and I visited the towns of Skagway, Ketchikan and the capital city of Juneau. The most captivating place was Juneau because we were able to go up into a mountain and see the city and scenic view from afar through the tramway. From the images share in this blog you can see the amazing views from Juneau. The Alaskan cruise prove to be a wonderful time with my dad and allowed us to see a great state while enjoying great cultural diversity.
