In two weeks, I will be flying home to Florida after a wonderful semester in Bath. I have now completed all of my classes, and I am looking forward to the final program trip of the semester. Tomorrow, we are leaving bright and early for Stratford-upon-Avon, which is the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Shakespeare wrote many plays that you might be familiar with. Have you ever heard of Romeo and Juliet? How about A Midsummer Night’s Dream? We will be in Stratford for three days, and I am excited to explore the town and attend theater performances. Then, I’ll be taking a final trip to London with my friends, so we can visit The British Library and explore the vintage market at Notting Hill.
During this semester, I formed lasting friendships with the other students in my program. Every night, we sit together in the common room and play games while we study. My friends and I have explored all that Bath has to offer. We have taken Jane Austen dance classes, sang along to musicals at the Theatre Royal, visited the local farm and played cards every Wednesday at Jazz Night. We’ve even gone to a rugby match only five minutes from my flat!
Next week is exam week, so I will be doing lots of studying over the next few days. Wish me luck!
