This week, I paddled 130 km down the Mekong River.
Did you figure out how far I traveled by plane from Toronto to Phnom Penh from my last logbook? If so, you can add another 130 km of paddling to the total journey.
This week, I traveled by packraft. These boats pack into a small bag, and you use a special device to blow them up into boats that are about seven feet long. Take a look at my video album to watch how we made these rafts.
The most interesting place I visited was the small town along the river! This village does not get many visitors. To give you some idea, the kids in this village had never even heard of the United States!
It was very cool to travel for an entire week only by boat. It is an incredible feeling to know that you used nature, simple devices and your body to travel from point A to point B.
