Visiting a Buddhist Temple

In Cambodia, Buddhism is the official state religion and has been since the 13th century. It is estimated that 96.9% of the population is Buddhist in Cambodia. I noticed that people in Cambodia are kind, caring, compassionate and generally happier than in the United States. People never showed anger or frustration. I believe that this is tied to the Buddhist culture. Worshiping and practicing Buddhism at local pagodas ensures that people continue this belief system.
