Bonjour a tous! I am so excited to get to know all of you over the next couple of months and share with you the details of my journey in France!

I arrived in Paris at the end of August, just after the Olympic Games had drawn to a close and the Paralympics were just beginning. The city was super-crowded at this time but also far cleaner than I had expected. The rainstorm on my first day here was an omen for the gray weather that was to come. A rainy city is not new to me, though, as I spent my first year of college in London (and worked there this past summer). So, I have gotten good at living my life as usual, even when the weather is not in agreement with my plans!

My college experience has been less than conventional, but my choice to go overseas aligns with one of NYU's core values of being a global university. Beyond the campus in New York, we have over 25 study-abroad sites around the world. I have been able to study at NYU New York, NYU London, NYU Abu Dhabi and now, NYU Paris. Some of my best friends study at NYU Buenos Aires, NYU Madrid, NYU Florence, and NYU Shanghai. I love that through school I have been able to travel the world—exploring new cultures has been the most rewarding experience of my life thus far.
