Traveler Bio

Bonjour (Hello)! My name is Cameron Roberts, I am a junior at New York University where I major in Global Liberal Studies. I am originally from Austin, Texas but since starting college I have been able to live in New York, London, and Paris (as well as spend two weeks studying in Abu Dhabi)! When I lived in Austin I loved to go for runs around Lady Bird Lake, eat yummy Tex-Mex at Maudies, and hang out with my mom. In college I do a lot of the same things to feel close to home. I use runs to explore new cities, love to find new restaurants (bonus points if they serve queso), and call my mom on the phone to tell her about what I am up to. In school, I am preparing for my senior thesis, which is set to focus on the motivations behind the refugee movement (from France to the UK across the English Channel). As a recipient of the Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholarship, I will get to spend 6 weeks next summer researching in the field, but while I am studying in Paris I am tasked with prepping myself with all of the information I need to complete my research. I live a super busy life but I have a lot of fun learning new things and seeing the world. I can't wait to share my journey with you and help inspire your own global journeys!
