Hallo! Hello! My name is Camille and I am 22 years old. I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, with my brother, mom, and dad. My favorite subjects growing up were history, art, and science, and these are still my favorite things to learn about! I went to a German-language elementary school, and I continued practicing the language in high school. In eighth grade, I even visited Germany with my class as part of a school exchange program!
For college, I went to Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and got a Bachelor's degree. I double majored in journalism and history and earned my minor in dance. While I was there, I became really interested in careers that were related to education, especially working at museums. I was also eager to continue my education abroad after I graduated. So, I applied for (and received!) an English Teaching Assistantship in Germany through the U.S. Fulbright Program.
From September until the end of the school year, I will be helping students at one high school in Berlin, Germany learn English. I am also an ambassador for American culture while I am here, so I am excited to share my arts and cultural knowledge with the people I interact with and the friends I make. I am equally excited to discover as much as I can about life in Germany and visit lots of landmarks so that I can share what I am learning with all of you!
