A Little Bit About Me

The older you are when you learn another language, the harder it tends to be, but this never stopped me from pursuing my dream to study and live outside of Brazil.

When I was 21, another uncle made it financially-possible to study abroad in Boston, Massachusetts. There, I studied English at a college during the winter (summer vacation in Brazil) and confirmed that studying abroad was what I wanted. Everything was so new to me! It was my first time speaking English to native speakers, first time seeing snow(!), and my first international trip as well. Also, during this trip, I discovered that I was born to travel. I’m grateful for all the amazing places I’ve been so far.

After graduation, I worked as a field biologist for mining companies looking at the biodiversity of caves. My job was to go to really dark caves using a headlamp to collect insects and spiders. Understanding what animals live in which caves and why they live there was the most exciting part of my job. So, I’ve been exposed to a variety of interesting situations either as a student or at work, leading me to where I am today.

Thank you for joining this expedition with me! Let's see what we can find together.
