This week, I decided to take a break from traveling far and opted for a day trip to Verona, instead. It's a charming city with a rich history, known for its stunning architecture, lively piazzas and, of course, its connection to the story of Romeo and Juliet! Wandering through the cobblestone streets with my friend made the experience of Verona even more memorable. We listened to numerous street artists, admired the beautifully preserved buildings and even visited Juliet's balcony, which felt surreal! The day was filled with laughter, good food and a perfect mix of sightseeing and relaxation.
I read a lot of historical novels and travel memoirs this week, getting lost in stories that transported me to different eras and places. It’s been a great way both to unwind and satisfy my curiosity about the world, especially while living abroad!
For this week, I do my daily walks throughout the city to stay active.
