Hej (hello)!
My name is Casey Coombs. I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and moved to Indiana when I was 24. I have lived in Greenfield, Indiana, for almost 20 years. Right now, I am a senior at Indiana University, where I study psychology. You might be surprised to learn that I started college when I was 41! Now I am 44 and spending the fall semester studying abroad in Stockholm, Sweden.
While I am in Sweden, I am learning about how the brain works and how it is connected to addiction. I am also working with researchers at the Karolinska Institutet, where I am helping with a study about women's mental health.
Back home in Indiana, I help people who are involved in the justice system because of drug or alcohol-related charges. I am interested in understanding why people make certain choices and how we can help people make positive changes in their lives.
I have been married to my husband, Cody, for 25 years. We have two daughters, Addie, who is 21, and Vivi, who is 15. We also have a son-in-law named Logan, who is 21. At home, we have three cats named Mochi, Goobie and Spatula!
I love to cook, bake, make crafts, camp, dance and spend time outdoors. One of my favorite things to do is spend time with horses.
I can't wait to share my adventures in Sweden with you and learn more about you, too!
